About
Officials at our Community, Arts and Culture Development offices and facilities engage with and assist communities on community issues, and host events related to their basket of services and programmes, which communities are invited to participate in.
Office staff engage with communities on a range of issues including:
- Requests for assistance from non-governmental organisations, community-based organisations, religious groups and other stakeholders in the social sector for support with programmes and projects such as awareness raising, capacity building, skills development, holiday programmes, etc.
- Support of targeted food gardens on City-owned land, and specifically close to our ECD’s.
- Support for vulnerable individuals (in particular the elderly and people with disabilities) or where families are destitute and require assistance.
